Scientific and Methodical Work
The training at the direction "Economics and Enterprising”, specialities "Accounting and Audit” and "Economic Cybernetics”, level of Accreditation, educational qualification levels of bachelor, specialist and master degrees is realized.
After the four year course of study the graduates receive a bachelor diploma which on the basis of complete general education get fundamental and professionally oriented knowledge, skills and habits for deciding typical professional tasks in the field of national economy.
Master programs made out on the base of licensed specialities allow to get a master diploma during one year of study. This diploma allows to work at the position of a manager in the business spheres, at the establishments of state administering of economy, accounting and audit, in the sphere of innovative management, financial and banking institutions, to be concerned with the scientific research and teaching activities in the corresponding directions.
The Accounting and Economics Faculty of the LSAF consists of six departments:
"The Accounting and Audit Department”,
"The Economic Cybernetics Department”,
"The Department of Mathematical Methods in Economy”,
"The Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines”,
"The Foreign Languages Department”,
"The Physical Training Department”.
However much effort is paid to the training of the future specialists by the teachers of all the departments of the Academy.
Educational process at the departments is realized by the highly qualified teaching staff, among them there are 11 % of doctors of sciences, professors and more than 50 % of candidates of sciences, assistant professors who are able to provide training and upbringing of the students at the level of contemporary demands. The best graduates of the faculty can continue in the future their post graduate course of study and get a degree of a candidate of sciences.
Recently the scientists of the faculty prepared more than 40 training manuals classified by the Ministry of Education and Science which are up to the modern demands. These books are used by the students not only our students but also students of other higher educational establishments of Ukraine.
During the last years much work is realized concerning the passing to the Bologna process of study, optimization of documents circulation, strengthening of material and technical basis of the faculty. More than 20 training rooms are used during the educational process. Five computer classes are equipped with modern computers which are connected in the local network with the direct outlet to the Internet. For satisfying modern demands of training disciplines on the high level multimedia and linguistic audio-video complexes are used. Together with the pedagogical skills it makes favourable atmosphere for training and upbringing students. Polygraphic works are made at high level in the centre of technical means of training. The library with its fund as well as electronic means of information are at students” disposal.
At the faculty much attention is paid to widening of scientific cooperation. The evidence of international authority of the Accounting and Audit Faculty is the active cooperation with scientific circles of educational establishments of Poland, Germany, Check Republic, Great Britain.
Students” scientific clubs function at the departments of the faculty. With the results of the researches our students take part in scientific conferences and contests in our academy and other higher educational establishments of Ukraine and abroad.
Graduating departments of the specialities "Accounting and Audit” and "Economic Cybernetics” are the departments of Accounting and Audit and Economic Cybernetics.
The specialities "Accounting and Audit” and "Economic Cybernetics” are aimed at training the specialists - managers, workers of banking, insurance and loan establishments, that is the personalities that make decisions on the base of detailed analysis and forecasting of financial and social processes, define the strategies of the activity of the firm, provide analytical researches on the demand of state institutions and organizations.
The main customer of the graduates of the Accounting and Audit Faculty is the Ministry of Finance. The Academy closely cooperates with tax administrations, financial departments of regional administrations, the departments of state treasuries of the western and central regions.
Beside training and scientific research work of the faculty educational, national - patriotic, socio-cultural and sport mass work is organized. There are circles of amateur art, sports sections. There are all the conditions for the students to have the possibility to learn historical and cultural treasures of old Lviv by going to the theatres, museums, concert and exhibition halls.
The active factor of social and cultural life of the academy is the students” self-government. At our academy many competitions, festivals of amateur arts are traditionally held. They find out creative and talented students and this unites the friendly students family. The students problems and victories are constantly presented in our wallpapers.
